Luka Todorović, MSc

PhD Candidate, Developmental Psychology
University of Amsterdam

Luka has been a PhD candidate at the University of Amsterdam since 2022, working with the Digital Youth Project and coordinating studies alongside small teams of student assistants, under the supervision of senior researchers. His interest in problematic digital media use first developed during his Research Master's at the University of Groningen, where he wrote his thesis and first publication on the topic.

Dr. Helle Larsen

Associate Professor, Developmental Psychology
University of Amsterdam

Helle is an Associate Professor at the University of Amsterdam, specializing in the social and cognitive processes underlying (un)healthy behaviors in youth, including digital media use, substance use, and self-regulation. She is a board member of the Research Priority Area 'Youth Digitality' at the University of Amsterdam, serves as academic director of the UvA Summer School 'Mental Health, Youth and Society,' and chairs the Dutch Society for Developmental Psychology (VNOP).

Dr. Annabel Bogaerts

Assistant Professor, Developmental Psychology
University of Amsterdam

Annabel conducts research focusing on identity development, feelings of emptiness, and their associations with psychopathology and self-destructive behaviors in adolescents and young adults. She employs longitudinal and narrative methods to explore how identity processes relate to mental health outcomes, such as depression, borderline personality disorder, and non-suicidal self-injury. ​In addition to her academic role, Annabel is a licensed clinical psychologist at PraxisP in Belgium.

Dr. Bianca Boyer

Assistant Professor, Developmental Psychology
Leiden University

Bianca is specializing in interventions for children and adolescents with neurodevelopmental disorders, particularly ADHD and autism. Her research focuses on bridging the gap between science and clinical practice. She also supervises PhD projects on digital well-being in youth, in collaboration with the University of Amsterdam.
